Holy Cross Hospital Classes to Assist Senior Athletes
As a provider of top-quality exercise programs for seniors, new Maryland Senior Olympics sponsor Holy Cross Hospital is offering two great classes to help train participants as well as any older adults who are interested in staying fit and active.
Participants in the clinics can get fit alongside the competitors for the Senior Olympics. These courses are designed specifically for athletes aged 50 and above and will help you maximize your body's potential.

Holy Cross Hospital senior fitness classes place an emphasis on total body conditioning and using the proper form.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer these clinics and classes to participants in this year's Senior Olympics,” said Sarah McKechnie, manager of community fitness for Holy Cross Hospital. "And these classes are physically appropriate for both senior athletes as wellas any person aged 50 and older who is interested in staying in good shape."
Holy Cross Hospital offers many fitness classes designed specifically for seniors in a safe and friendly environment. Stretch for Success
Ages 50 and above: Specially designed for senior athletes or people aged 50 and above who want to work on posture, good body mechanics and flexibility. Learn how to improve your range of motion, reduce muscle tension and have a better understanding of your own anatomy. Class will include dynamic and static stretching for all muscle groups with an explanation of the benefits of each exercise. Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Sessions: 6 weekly for $60

Strength for Performance
Ages 50 and above: Interested in maximizing your potential? This class will help you get stronger without getting injured. Learn different training techniques for strength, power, speed and endurance. Class will include total body conditioning with an emphasis on good form. Appropriate for intermediate to advanced participants.
Sessions: 6 weekly for $60
