REGISTRATION!
Are you ready to participate in the 2010 Maryland Seniors Olympics? Here's how. Everything you need is included in the downloadable 2010 Information and Registration Guide, from registration forms for individuals and teams to qualifying for the 2011 National Senior Games to locations, venues, costs, awards, equipment and food. The guide is one-stop shopping for all your registration needs.

The Maryland Senior Olympics is open to anyone from any state who turns age 50 and above by Dec. 31, 2010. Whether an individual or team participant, you compete in the events of your choice by your age group and gender. The age groups are listed in the guide.

The sports being offered this year are:

Archery, badminton, basketball, billiards, bowling, golf, horseshoes, lawn bowling, racquetball, 5k running, 10k running, shuffleboard, softball, swimming, table tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

All participants must fully complete the registration forms and include payment in order to be registered for the competitions. Entry into an event is first-come, first-serve. A late fee of $60 will apply if you miss the deadline and there is still room for you in that event.

Common Questions. . .

Q: Can we register online?

A: No, sorry. All registration is through the mail and submission of the necessary registration forms.

Q: Can I pay by credit card?

A: No, all payments must be by check or money order.

Q: Does my doubles partner need to register with me at the same time?

A: That is preferrable but not required.

What's New? . . .

1.) Competition is now open to state and non-state residents;

2.) First-through fourth-place finishers in each event—except golf and tennis—qualify for the 2011 National Senior Games in Houston;

3.) Want to participate in four or more individual events? Register before Aug. 1 and you can play in unlimited events for $50 (excluding venue fees such as bowling lane fees and golf green and cart fees).

If you have further registration questions, you can e-mail us at info@mdseniorolympics.org or by calling 240-777-8080.
